1. Do you like listening to music?

 

Yes, I am a big fan of music all these years. I sometimes listen to music before sleeping at night for one hour and when I am driving, which will both help me relax. I am very fond of pop music from Taiwan and Hong Kong, and I also frequently listen to some American pop singers, like the Backstreet Boys. I can feel the energy when I hear the tune. Yes, of course. That is to say, I cannot imagine what my life would be like without music. Firstly, I believe that music plays an important role in people's lives. For example, we use it to soothe our minds after a hard day at work, or it can provide us with the rhythm to dance to.

 

4. What kind of music do you like the most?

It’s hard for me to select only one category of music. I love music in general and all types of music is delightful for me. Still, I’d say that I like little bit soothing music and not that rock or disco kind of music. They’re so noisy and doesn’t make sense to me.

I like pop music very much. First of all, pop music is lively and suits me at my age. Secondly, it usually has a good rhythm. For example, it is suitable for us to dance on. Lastly, pop music is simple to understand. That is to say, I like it because it is not difficult to understand, and it helps me to relax after I have been studying hard for some time.

Just as other kinds of art, music has become a dispensable part of human culture. It brings us nutritious spiritual foods and enriches our leisure life. In addition, music can do well to us very much. It can elicit the imagination of us. And, it teaches us how to distinguish beauty from nature. Listening to music, I am sure you will be soon be refreshed from a day's hard work.

 

6. Do you think it’s important to give music classes in the school?

 

Yes, of course. I certainly believe that music, if taught as a subject, can improve the performance of students not only in Music but also in some of the academic subjects. It helps them relax and they may develop a taste for music.

 

7. When do you listen to music?

 

To be honest, I have my headphones on most of the day, whether I’m at home studying or out and about in the city. I even play some specially edited playlists when I’m taking a shower at night!

8. What kind of music do old people enjoy?

 

The elder generation mostly like traditional folk music, which is kind of boring and uninspiring to those of us in the younger generation; but they tend to like to sing along, so it’s a good style for them, I suppose.

9. How long do you listen to music every day?

Oh, Let me think a bit. I guess I listen to music for about half an hour every day. I would, for example, listen when I get home from school, or in the evenings before I go to the bed. On weekends, however, I listen to music much more. For example, I would invite my best friend over to my house, and we would listen to our favorite CDs for a few hours at a time.

 

10. Are you a good singer?

 

Well, to be honest, my vocal range isn’t so big and I can’t hit the high notes and I’m often out of tune, but I sometimes do go to KTV and sing songs with my friends, which is very enjoyable.
